Walk up the rainbow street (Skólavörðustígur) towards the church (Hallgrimskirkja) (5min) (10.40am-10.50am)

3. Be amazed at how big Hallgrimskirkja is! (10.50am-11.45am)
Be amazed by the size of Hallgrimskirkja. No surprise it is the largest church in Iceland and among the tallest structures in the country

You can head inside the church. Be mindful it is an active house of worship and prayer. You can purchase tickets on site. I recommend heading to the top for a spectacular view of the city!

Meander to the Lava show (25 min)

4. Feel the heat with some Lava learning! (2.00pm – 3.00pm)
Basically.... the LAVA SHOW recreates a volcanic eruption by superheating real lava up to 1100°C (2000°F) and then pouring it into a showroom full of people. We felt the heat. I had to put my phone away fearing it might melt!
They have fixed time slots to see the show (12pm, 2pm, 4pm slots). Also they do get regularly sold out so book it in advance.

Address : Fiskislóð 73, 101 Reykjavik

Within the same vicinity head over to Whales of Iceland

5. Have a whale of a time! (3.00pm – 4.00pm)
Do you know how you stack up against whales? Neither did we ...until we visited the Whales of Iceland!

This is the largest museum dedicated to whales in Europe (and quite possibly the world!)
They have LIFE-SIZE exhibits! My little brain could not comprehend how huge these majestic whales are! It was amazing!

An audio guide is provided as you make your way through the exhibit. No fixed entry times.

Next door to the Whales of Iceland is FlyOver Iceland

6. Flyover mountains and glaciers! (4.00pm – 5.00pm)
See things like you've never seen before! This attraction simulates fliying over mountains & glaciers. It was beautiful! It was as though I was an eagle flying over Iceland!

The total experience will take approximately 35 minutes. The ride will take only 8.5 minutes- unfortunately- but oh so worth it!
